On Saturday, April 16, 2005
at the Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ we had the pleasure
of decorating an event for Our Lady of Lourdes Health Foundation. The
Dance Committee chose to use “Vintage Atlantic City” as their
theme this year. The idea was to create a series
of vignettes including a six foot Monopoly Man, complete with property
deeds, Miss America which included a crown, scepter, and sash, and a replica
of the famous Hackney’s restaurant sign accented with a larger than
life sized menu. Since this was such a nostalgic
event for these guests, we had to do a lot of research in order to make
the decor as authentic as possible. We literally combed the beaches of
South Jersey to find a real roller chair like the ones used for over a
century on Atlantic City’s boardwalks. We also acquired vintage
memorablia from the Famous Steel Pier. Other elements, such as a boardwalk
entrance, hot-air balloons, and a bi-plane with banner, were utilized
to create the perfect environment our clients come to expect. Thank you once more to the
Dance Committee for choosing us again this year to make your event a lasting
        impression on your guests.
